We had an awesome trip with our captain, who shared a lot of great knowledge along the way. The morning started off stormy, but we stuck it out and ended up having a fantastic time celebrating my father-in-law’s birthday. Definitely planning to book again soon.

I surprised my husband with this trip, and it turned out to be a great decision. We caught plenty of fish and had a lot of fun on the water. Even though we didn’t land the big one he was hoping for, the experience was still a blast. The captain was very friendly, helpful, and easy to fish with, which made the day even better. I would definitely recommend this trip and would book with him again if we’re back in the area.

Dirk had to go out of town but set us up with someone else. That guide was amazing we didn't catch any striper but still had a great time.

Dirk was an amazing guide, helped a bunch of novice anglers catch 18 stripers! He was punctual and knowledgeable, we would absolutely love to go out with him again!

My son and I booked a trip with Captain Dirk, and it was a great experience from start to finish. We’re both new to fishing, but he took excellent care of us the entire time. He stayed on top of baiting lines, keeping rods in the water, and putting us in productive areas around the lake. I really appreciated that it was just the two of us on the boat. The one-on-one attention made it easy to learn and enjoy the day without feeling rushed. Captain Dirk’s boat was clean, well-equipped, and quick, which made moving spots easy. At the end of the trip, he cleaned and de-veined all of our striped bass, which was a huge bonus. Add in good conversation and a relaxed atmosphere, and it made for an all-around solid day on the water. I’d absolutely recommend this charter and specifically asking for Captain Dirk.

We had a great time fishing with Captain Dirk as two couples. The morning started calm, but he quickly found us some solid fish. After a short stop at the ramp, we headed back out to a new spot where the action picked up fast. We were all landing big fish one after another, and he could barely keep up getting them off the hooks. It was a fun, productive trip, and we’ll definitely be back.

We had a great time on the water. Even with tough conditions and muddy water, Dirk used his experience to put us on striper. He really knows the lake and made sure we still had a productive trip. On top of that, he’s a great guy who keeps things enjoyable from start to finish. We’ll definitely be booking with him again next time.

Captain Dirk is the real deal. My husband and I had an excellent time on the water, and he truly went above and beyond to make sure our trip happened. Heavy rains before our outing caused several challenges. The bridge was closed, the lake was extremely high, and our original launch location had to be changed. At one point, we thought the trip might be canceled. Thanks to Captain Dirk’s persistence and problem-solving, he made it all work. Once on the water, his knowledge and experience were clear, and he kept the day fun and productive despite the conditions. We will absolutely book with Louie’s Lures again and will be requesting Captain Dirk. He knows the lake and knows what he’s doing.

This was our second trip with Captain Dirk on Lake Texoma in the past two years, and once again, he delivered. Conditions were tough this time around after heavy rains pushed the lake more than 17 feet above normal pool, leaving the water muddy with a lot of debris. Even with those challenges, Captain Dirk found the fish like he always does. We had a solid day on the water, boating striped bass along with a couple of nice blue catfish. His knowledge of the lake and ability to adjust to changing conditions really stood out. I look forward to coming back to Texoma, and I’ll fish with Captain Dirk every time. No one works harder or knows the lake better. Thanks again, Dirk, for another successful trip and two great outings in a row.

The lake was high and muddy, which made for a tough day of fishing, but Captain Dirk never let up. He worked hard to put us on fish, and we ended up catching several despite the challenging conditions. More importantly, we had a great time on the boat with him. Captain Dirk went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our day and had every opportunity to catch fish. His experience, effort, and genuine care for his customers really stand out.
