We had an action-packed couple of days out on the water at Lake Texoma with Louie's Lures Guide Service. Though we didn't manage to land any big prize, we still had a great time out on the water, enjoying the scenery and good company.

The forecast called for some unsettled weather, with clouds rolling in and a chance of rain later in the day. But we hit the water early, around 6 AM, ready to put in some work and see what we could find. As we motored out of Alberta Creek Resort & Marina, the lake was calm and the skies were clear—perfect conditions to get the lines in and start hunting for some fish.

We tried a mix of jigging and trolling, working different depths and cover to find the active fish. The bass and crappie were a little finicky, but we kept at it, working the water methodically. Nick and the rest of the crew stayed positive, joking around and just having a good time even when the fish weren't cooperating. That's what it's all about—getting out on the water, breathing in that fresh air, and making some great memories, whether the fish are biting or not.

We had a great afternoon of fishing out on Lake Texoma with Jacyn and the crew from Louie's Lures Guide Service. May is a fantastic time to hit the lake, as the Striped Bass and other gamefish become more active in the warming waters. 

The weather was a mixed bag, with partly cloudy skies and the potential for some strong storms, but we managed to time it just right and avoided any major downpours. The water conditions were excellent, perfect for targeting those elusive Striped Bass. As soon as we got the boat in the water and the lines out, the action started heating up. 

We worked the lake using a combination of jigging and trolling, covering different depths to find where the fish were stacked up. It didn't take long before Jacyn hooked into a nice Striped Bass, putting up a solid fight before we got it in the boat. We kept at it, and over the course of the afternoon, managed to land a few more quality Striped Bass. This little guy stuck it out with us the whole trip, and we had a blast reeling them in together.

Jeremy and Jim showed off the Louie's Lures Jighead and Swimbaits Sassy Shads heads and glow in the dark swimbaits. We also used Louie's Dead Stick Jigheads and smoked them with them too. It was a great trip for these two and we made new Fishing Freinds.&nbsp;</div>

Stripers are biting

Lake Texoma has been a hot spot for striped bass fishing this week. Anglers have been catching plenty of stripers on topwater lures and soft plastics. The best time to fish is in the early morning and late evening, when the fish are feeding up before they go to bed.

If you're looking for other types of fish, try casting out some jigs or worms near the shoreline in about 6 feet of water. The stripers bite has been pretty good lately as well!
